Record Management Outsource Scanning Services Project

Saudi Aramco is the largest company in Saudi Arabia and the largest oil producer company in the world.
Saudi Aramco initiated this project to increase the availability and accessibility through electronic archiving & scanning, indexing and storing of all documents in its enterprise content management repository.

Project Overview

Saudi Aramco requires to outsource the services Record Management Unit (RMU) of scanning and archiving the backlog of 80,000 boxes in Record Center (RC) and in addition to scanning requests from different Aramco departments kingdom wide.
Samir Trading & Marketing Co. with its multi-disciplinary team executed the project by deploying its experienced manpower resources, high volume scanners, PC’s.

The project includes following stages:

• Barcoding the documents as required
• Scanning & Indexing RC backlog documents & the other coming documents from different departments
• Securely upload the complete scanned data to Documentum and SharePoint Solutions (Aramco ECM)
